Half of this page, like the previous one, was salvaged from an older version of the comic.
Special guests are in panels 2 and 3, that were remade.
From left to right: Big Jock Horserock, from Stilldown's Theater of the Bloody Tongue, enjoying a beer.
CeCi, from Centcomm's Datachasers - posing as an undercover agent.
Harper Roz, from Timelapse11's The Underground Empire, looking for a target.
Stilldown's character apparently is a wanted criminal even in this universe, despite being Ariane's friend and not such a bad guy. Not worse than a random "Sons of Anarchy" character, at least :D
* I added the button for Top Web Comics today. Don't be stingy, voting doesn't cost you anything and you don't even need to register. It's just a pair of clicks when you feel like supporting me. Atlantis has its own link too. Thank you.
nice city!
more of this.
not much traffic, though. must be the off-season. ;-D
hey! they're not vaping, are they? for god's sake, smoke a cigarette or something, but don't vape!
I thought about adding more traffic while reworking the page, but due to the angle more vehicles would have covered too much of the background, so in the end I left the panel untouched.
Jan is a chain smoker. Bad habit, I know, but he's not exactly a role model anyway.
However, vaping appears to be harmful only in the US. Ever wondered why?
Poor Jock, he couldn't even finish his beer. This might really end bad for the policeman, as Jock never stayed long in custody. (As Sf reader, think of Hell Tanner in Zelazny's Damnation Alley, as he probably influenced the creation of this character. I mean the book of course, not the movie.)
I should cut to the starship now, but if I get a nice idea to extend this scene I could add another page. After all, there's also Harper ogling all that gold Amneris is carrying around.
Besides, I feel like drawing some more city street views.
She could appear in another pair of frames. I decided against cutting to next scene so soon. The rest of the chapter will be basically set in a desert, so a few more city views now won't hurt.
