Would Amneris's non-violent approach work with the rioting Parovians? We'll see. Trouble ahead, anyway.
Wow, these two? I admire their non-violent approach, but hiring mercenaries to keep you safe and then doing everything you can to avoid working with them? That's just asking for trouble. It reminds me of the media personalities in the USA who call all police racists and want them "defunded" (whatever that actually means to them), but don't think there's anything wrong with them having private security with guns or using force to keep people away from them.
I don't think I'm going to like this pair very much.
Well, to be fair, Amneris was kinda tricked into hiring them. She trusted her "sponsor" (and since you read everything, you already know her identity), who has a personal agenda.
Next time she'll do that background check, I guess XD
That's very true, but the [logical] reason for private security is to keep you safe from threats, whether or not you perceive or understand them. You don't have to like the ones protecting you, but thinking you can reason with a mob, especially a rioting one, is ill-conceived at best and deadly at worst.
Should she have done a background check? That would have been wise probably, but it probably wouldn't have mattered in the end since she's not the one controlling the money, her sponsor is, and her work depends on those funds. Her position is not one I envy, but you play the had you've been dealt, as they say. :)
All that aside though, these two have what appears to be a hidden agenda and those rarely go well when the truth comes out; roads paved with good intentions and whatnot. I'm not saying they're evil or anything, just that I don't like or trust them at this point. Plus, well, I guess I'll just see how the story unfolds and maybe the first impression will prove to be wrong. :)
Haha, I think everyone has a hidden agenda in my comics, except for Zadra and Kai. They're pretty straightforward. XD
There's certainly something to be said for straightforward people, a lot of times they see what others don't and appreciate the moment more than those of us who get caught up in overthinking everything.
I like Kadra and Kai, even if they'd probably annoy me half the time, they seem like good people and that's certainly as good a reason as any to befriend them. :)
