We already know (from Atlantis's Q&A) that Theitor and Anthira form a three-sided military alliance with the Solarian Kingdom (aka Earth).
The K'mos are the people of Chreetmos. They are traditionally hostile towards their Anthiran neighbours.

Are you perchance familiar with the animated series Ulysses 31? (A French-Japanese coproduction from the 80s which is literally the Odyssey in space!)
That just came to my mind because King Daran reminds me a bit of their version of Ulysses/Odysseus.

Yes, actually I liked it when I was a teenager! King Daran might even be inspired to Ulysses, but I didn't really think about that until now. XD
(I established his look pretty early and never thought about it anymore.)
